I do not know if this is acute or chronic renal failure, but the finest remedy is to administer fluids regularly to guarantee they stay hydrated. Generally, it is not a thing you can do. If you have to do with it, ask the vet if you can learn to do fluids at property, it will save you a lot of money if your cat wants much more times a week.

Well I have been down the road of kindey issuses. I’m 16 now and at 13 I had 3 surgerys in 1 week to remove a kidney stone the size of a gumb ball, and they are usually the size of a pencil tip. But I they had to cut me on the back and blast the stone with a laser. Then they thought they got all of it but what is was a some peices of the stone got stuck in my tube, whatever you call it, and was causing me pain. So that was my blockage. I’m not sure of anything else that would be a blockage, but then again I am only 16. So thats my guess, maybe you had a small kidney stone that just got stuck. Just ask for a xray and go to a urgoloist and ask. Well hope everything goes good for you and the pregnancy!

Most well-liked medullary sponge kidney in product:
Question by metro2176: Can anybody relate or give any assistance for my kidney stone difficulties?
I am 31 years old and have suffered from urinary tract infections all of my life. At the age of 18 I had my very first kidney stone. Given that that time I have been hospitalized dozens of times such as in the course of 1 of my 2 pregnancies in order to preform stent placement, lithotripsy, basket retrieval for removal of stones. I pass a lot of stones at home but have had many that are too large to pass (6-12mm). I have had two urologists treat me and I have been diagnosed with Medullary Sponge Kidney illness. I go by way of bouts for up to a couple of months which call for multiple trips to the er for discomfort management or surgeries and then I may possibly go for a couple of months with hardly and difficulties. For an example of my history- last December (2005) I went to the er and was admitted for a 8mm stone removal- discharged just to return 2 days later and was admitted for 2 new stones which had fallen from my kidney and causing obstruction. A 6mm and 10mm stone which had to once again be removed via lithotripsy. August of 2006 admitted for one more 8mm stone removal, December 2006 admitted to have one more huge stone removed by lithotripsy. This is the quality of my life- in the hospital or at property with discomfort more frequently than not. I have been told by my urologists that due to the disease and the truth that each of my kidneys are full of stones there is actually absolutely nothing I can do to treat or avoid them but just continue to have the surgeries to get rid of them or treat the discomfort for the passable stones. I am quite frustrated and searching for any other answers or advice. Thank You.
I take discomfort meds- like vicodin or go to the er if the discomfort is extreme sufficient. I have been to the er 2 times in the final 2 weeks, its embarassing since they know me at the er I go to but I cannot aid it- luckily they are very helpfull simply because they know my history. I don’t like taking the meds but I have to and my urologist isnt really sympathetic and I usually am not perscribed sufficient to last long. I only take the perscribed amount and have been told by several nurses that see the stones I pass that most patients they have treated are screaming in pain for smaller stones. I don’t know what else to do but take discomfort meds at property or go to the er for stronger therapy.

My sister had twice. She was able to pass stones soon after surgery, they truly do not really feel discomfort with the discomfort she felt. they are ex-ray or ultrasound to make certain they broke into pieces tiny sufficient, as they go. Very good luck.
